How To Clear Your Skin

So this is probably the biggest problem teenagers face today, right?
Well teenager or not, I'm going to share with you my tips and tricks of keeping them blemishes away and keeping your skin clear. These are just all the things that happen to help me, but everyone has different skin types therefore what works for me, may not work for you. You'll never know unless you try though! So let's get into it.

1. This is a big one, it is so important to keep your hands clean and wash them before touching your face. Your hands have more bacteria on them than you can imagine and you would just be transferring it all onto your face! But you should try not to touch and pick at your face anyway, it's tempting, I know.

2. You've probably heard this everywhere, but drink plenty of water! Water cleanses your body and helps to eliminate toxins whilst hydrating you. Basically, water is just magic.

3. This one is a bit obvious, but wash your face! And I don't just mean splash some water over it, come up with a cleansing routine that works for you! This is my personal favourite:

-Cleanse, make sure to use a cleanser specifically for problem skin, something with tea tree or neem should be great. But before cleansing your skin you should open up your pores, warm water opens your pores whilst cold closes them.

-Exfoliate, exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells on your face and effectively removes any dirt and oils. There are hundreds of exfoliating products on the market, but you can easily make your own by mixing 3 tea spoons of sugar with 2 tea spoons of water, it works just as well.

-Tone, a toner thoroughly cleans your face, removes all dirt and helps to tighten and firm your skin giving it a healthy glow. If you don't have a toner, you can use lemon juice instead, apply it onto your face for about 10 seconds, but be careful as lemons can make your face tingle, so if it does don't keep it on for as long!

- Finish up by splashing some cold water on your face to close your pores!

- Moisturise, even if you have combination/oily skin, you still need to moisturise! It helps to prevent wrinkles and fine lines too!

You should probably use some sort of spot treatment too, there's so many that claim to give you visible results within a couple of weeks or even days, but how much of it is just false advertisement? These are a few that actually worked for me and gave me visible results:

There we have it, those are my holy grail products and procedures! If you do try out anything I've mentioned please leave a comment or tweet me and tell me if it worked for you!
