Fashspiration #2

So it's that week again, another Fashspiration coming your way. I know I mentioned that I would probably do these seasonally, but I end up seeing and saving so many beautiful pieces, my folders start overflowing, so I'm most likely going to end up doing these more frequently... if you don't mind that is.

So here's the second installment, enjoy.

Also, I think I may introduce 'Foodspiration', I mean hey who doesn't like the look of pretty food, seen as though I already have 'Fashspiration'  and 'Roomspiration' running, I may as well go full on out. Keep your eyeballs peeled for that yoo.

Not Your Usual Post (Sexism)

With the international day of the elimination of violence against women just gone, and many other issues and speculations recently arising about how a certain gender should be as a whole, and how they should and shouldn't act in society, I decided I need to just add something. I never really understood who a feminist was but I remember being labelled one every time my opinion differentiated me from a lower class citizen. Sexism is a social disease and it needs to be cured. And just because I'm pro-women does not mean I'm anti-men, that's far from the case. I'm a big believer in equality, and being told that you can't do something, or be someone just because of your gender, disgusts me. I leave you with this video.

Roomspiration #1

Oooh check me out posting on time and stuff. So Roomspiration will be a lot like Fashspiration, but inspiring your bedroom rather than your wardrobe. I love looking at different bedrooms and seeing all the creativity people implant into their rooms to display their personality and their feelings, bedroom designing can be very personal to the person it's their own free piece of space where they can be completely in their element.

My Favourite Benefit Products!

Everyone loves a bit all of benefit don't they. Once you lay your eyes on all the products, you're immediately pulled in, because you're a sucker for all the packaging...right? Me too. Not one Benefit product has disappointed me so far, although I did have higher expectations for some of them, I loved them nevertheless.

Now, I must admit that at first I kind of didn't really see why people loved this so much, I was disappointed and kind of left it aside for a few weeks. Not long after I decided to give it a go again, and I used it alongside another mascara, then I realised how good it actually is, it makes such a massive difference to just applying my usual mascara, the ends of my eyelashes literally touch my eyebrows!

The dandelion boxed powder blush is sooooo pretty! It has a slight shimmer to it, when she sun hits your face it looks so good. It's ever so natural too, you could definitely get away to wearing this to school, it uplifts your face and makes you look more healthy and awake, something you really need for school!
The dandelion range all together is so natural and stunning, the lipgloss is a perfect nude! You should definitely swatch the blush next time you're near a benefit counter, because words cannot truly explain how pretty this blush is!

You've probably heard so many things about the Benefit high beam, before buying it I had read mixed reviews, some people said that it completely changed their life and some said that it's not worth the money at all. I definitely believe that to see high beam in full power you need to let the light hit your face, your face looked completely different, so glowing and healthy. It feels extremely nice and light on your skin and highlights all the key areas, it's worth the money!!!

Meadham Kirchoff for Topshop!

   Intensely saccharine with sinister undertones.

I'm not sure if you guys have already heard but YES MEADHAM KIRCHOFF ARE RELEASING ANOTHER COLLECTION FOR TOPSHOP WOOP WOOP!! I'm beyond excited, their previous lines have been absolutely magnificent, and this year we're only expecting better! The collection is based around a fictional girl band; the Cherrys! Each of the band members possesses a exclusive and prominent style.

'It's like Jem And The Holograms meets Marilyn Manson' -Ben Kirchhoff

There's A LOT of pink and fluffy items, but then again there's items that you can definitely see Marilyn Manson sporting. It's kind of fun and playful, something to hopefully entertain people and give them something to dress up in, it's the whole point, these are clothes that celebrate uniqueness and tap that into the pure pleasure of fashion.

'...But take each piece as an individual and you'll find pretty blouses, statement knits and sweet skirts that can slot right into your wardrobe' adds Ed.

I don't know about you, but I can hardly stay still, the collection is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly creative, it's concentrated talent. The line is available in-store and online from the 21st of November.

The Perfect Make-Up Starter Kit

So when you're just getting into make-up, it can be a daunting experience, having no idea where to start and
not knowing what you actually need. So if you're a beginner, or maybe just lacking in the basics, read on!

Foundation

For foundation, every single one of us needs/prefers something different! First of all, find out what skin type you are; dry, oily, normal, combination? And how much coverage you need, if you still have that young baby skin, you probably don't need a heavy duty foundation. Luckily for you, I have combination skin so I've tried all sorts!

For dry/dull skin

You've most likely heard about this foundation, right? Rimmel Wake Me Up, is a wonderful and inexpensive foundation. Great for beginners, the coverage is definitely light/medium so it doesn't look cakey on your skin! The foundation has small particles of shimmer, and that's what adds radiance to your skin, making it look awake. This was one of the first foundations I ever tried and it set the bar pretty high! But since I do get an oily t-zone, it did begin to get shiny. So if you can't deal with the whole powder business, maybe this isn't the best for you.

For oily/combination skin

Sorry to you international people, pretty sure that No7 is a UK only brand. However, Beautifully Matte is a great full coverage foundation for oily skin.  As oily skin tends to be acne prone, this is completely full coverage and covers up any blemishes that you may have. It has a lovely consistency and goes on smoothly. Also, the ladies at the No7 counter at boots gladly use their fancy machines to match you to your perfect tone, and tend to give our free samples to take home and try out, to see if you like it. I do find that after a long period of time it can slip and slide and get a bit shiny, so you'd need powder on your t-zone if you've got a long day planned. I recently bought a new bottle of Beautifully Matte, and it was around £12, so I'm guessing the price hasn't changed.

Normal Skin

If you're fairly happy with your skin and don't really have any problems with it, but just need that extra boost then BB cream is the direction you should be going in. Now, there's sooo many BB/CC creams out there and people have different preferences, however the Maybelline Dream Fresh seems to be a winner with everyone. It feels light and fresh on your skin, blurring out any blemishes and/or redness on your skin, perfect for school!

 Eyes
Mascara is probably the best thing to start off with, it was definitely the first item of makeup I bought. It makes such a big difference, just generally opens up your face more and makes your eyes stand out. Maybelline mascaras are my absolutely favourite mascaras! They're inexpensive and just SO good. My favourites have to be The Rocket, Great Lash and The Falsies.
I do have loads of other ones that I absolutely love, like the benefit They're Real, even though I wasn't a fan at first, I'm beginning to get really into it.

The Naked Basics by Urban Decay is an absolute perfect starter palette, 5/6 of the shades are mattes, so they're perfect for a natural looking neutral eye. The dark brown colour, is actually really good for your brows too! It is higher end so on the pricier side, but you will not be disappointed, it's gorgeous!

Eye liner also makes a massive difference, I would say that you have to get the hang of eye liner, it definitely doesn't come naturally, practice makes perfect! This Eyeko liquid liner, looks just like a felt tip pen, it's easier to control than going straight into liquid/gel liners, save them for later:). I believe this goes for around £12.

Lips

Revlon Lip Butters.... They're hyped up enough already without me adding to it. They're everywhere on every blog, so if you haven't already heard about these, what cave have you been living in?? Anyway, they're a perfect border line in between a lipstick and a lip balm, the colour range is wonderful so you're guaranteed to find something that suits you, their inexpensive and so so moisturising!

Maybelline Baby Lips are so adorable and get the job done, it's in the name! The range is quickly expanding, and I want them all! They smell amazing, and some of them add a hint of sheer colour to your lips, they're extremely cheap too!

Face Powders

Blushes are not mandatory, but they're a nice thing to have to add some colour and dimention to your face. This rose gold one from sleek adds that perfect natural flush of colour to your cheeks! Sleek is also a UK based brand found at Superdrug, but there's plenty of other great ones! Maybelline does some lovely ones!

The last stage is to set it all with a good powder, to make sure your face is matte and in place all day long. Make sure you have an easy hand with it, don't pat it all on, your face will look cakey and powdery, just lightly dust it on your t-zone or all over your face. Not everybody needs powder, especially if you have dry skin, don't use powder! But if you find yourself getting shiny, this Rimmel Stay Matte should do the job, it lasts such a long time too, swear I've had mine for ages and I've hardly made a dint in it!

And we're finished, thanks for reading! Hope you found this useful in some way! Please request blog posts as I do run out of ideas, so your help is very valued! Leave comments, and links of your blogs so I can check them all out, Thank you! x

Lip Balms Lip Balms

Autumn is here, Winter is well within the horizon. In other words, chapped lips seasons. When the air begins to get cold and dry, our skin tends to go along with it. The skin on our lips does not naturally create it's own moisture layer leaving it susceptible to dryness and chapping, therefore it is really important to apply lip balm throughout the day, especially in Winter!! You need to make sure you have lip balm with you at all times, don't leave the house without it! Now, I know there are SO many different lip products on the shelves, and it can become overwhelming trying to pick a new one to try. I've tried my fair share of lip products and treatments, so I'm here, bringing my loved ones to you, hopefully it's helpful!

VASELINE, JESUS IN A TIN

Vaseline (otherwise known as Petroleum Jelly) is a very useful moisture insulator, it's also great for local skin conditions characterized by tissue dehydration. Vaseline helps protect minor cuts, scrapes and burns too! Vaseline helps dry skin, reduces of fine, dry lines and helps to protect skin from wind burn and chapping.  It contains no colours, fragrances or irritants, it's hypo allergic and looks so glossy on the lips, doubles up as a lip gloss!

Baby Lips- it's in the name!

If you haven't heard about these, where on earth have you been?? I'd be surprised if you don't already own one of these, or all of them. But if you don't, I suggest you go out and treat yo' self! They're super cute and cheap and get the job done! A couple of them even have SPF, you're probably wondering, 'SPF in the winter, really?', but yes you still need SPF. The winter sun can do some major damage. My favourite is definitely 'Cherry Me', it smells so good and gives a slight hint of colour too!

Nivea Lip Balms!

The Nivea lip balms have been around for a while, and the collection has become massive! There are so many of them now, and I'm not ashamed to say that I own the majority of them. There's ones that give you a pearly sheen of colour, fruit smelling ones, waterproof ones, the list is endless. Most of them also have SPF 10, which again is perfect for winter! Nivea is a great skin care brand, and the lip balms will definitely look after your lips. They're fairly cheap and you can literally find them anywhere! My favourites are the milk & honey and soft rose.

The Nivea Lip balms lock in the moisture in your lips, so they stay soft and pretty longer!

So that concludes my top 3! Hope you found out something new or interesting and enjoyed reading! Look out for new exciting Christmas posts coming up November/December, and if there's something you want to see on the blog, definitely leave comments, or tweet me for a quicker reply! Your suggestions mean everything, and I want to know what you guys enjoy reading about! Thanks for reading, have a lovely day/evening.

Celebrity Style Steal: Kendall Jenner

This is the first to a brand new series that I'll be running on this blog! 'Celebrity Style Steal', we see celebrities all over the world looking absolutely stunning but we know that their outfit is probably worth more than our whole wardrobe, and our parents wardrobe and that mans down the street wardrobe. But you could recreate the whole outfit, its easier than you think, and a lot cheaper! The first of the series is Kendall Jenner! I know that many of you reading will be fans of her and her style, she's gorgeous and her clothes are always amazing!

I'm going to begin by showing you a picture of her wearing the clothes that I'm going to try find cheaper alternatives of. I do have to say that I do live in England, and I will most likely feature clothing stores that are only available in the UK, I do apologise. Enjoy!

This outfit isn't that great if you're living in the UK and find it's getting chilly, but you can pair it up with some tights and a cardigan, or save it for when you go on holiday!

Now the top that Kendall is wearing in this picture is actually a K&K top from their own line at Pacsun, and you can find this here

However, Pacsun isn't available here in the UK, but you can easily find good alternative printed tees.

Below, I've found some tops that I think would go really well with the outfit we're recreating. The first two I found in New Look, they stock some really pretty ones for a good price! I added in Forever 21 and H&M as well as I know that they're shops that are popular not only in the UK.

Now for her bottoms, I'm kind of unsure whether she's wearing shorts or a skirt? But hey, I think both would equally go with the outfit!
By the looks of it, Kendall is wearing some black booties! They're massive right now, and tend to go with any outfit, you can dress them down and dress them down! Searched for some nice ones and these are my results!

There we have it! The very first Celebrity Style Steal is completed! I'd like to do more of these, so I really need your help! I need to know what celebrities ya'll want to see, because for all I know you might be hating the celebrity styles that I like! Comments are very loved.

Lots of love, x

How To Clear Your Skin

So this is probably the biggest problem teenagers face today, right?
Well teenager or not, I'm going to share with you my tips and tricks of keeping them blemishes away and keeping your skin clear. These are just all the things that happen to help me, but everyone has different skin types therefore what works for me, may not work for you. You'll never know unless you try though! So let's get into it.

1. This is a big one, it is so important to keep your hands clean and wash them before touching your face. Your hands have more bacteria on them than you can imagine and you would just be transferring it all onto your face! But you should try not to touch and pick at your face anyway, it's tempting, I know.

2. You've probably heard this everywhere, but drink plenty of water! Water cleanses your body and helps to eliminate toxins whilst hydrating you. Basically, water is just magic.

3. This one is a bit obvious, but wash your face! And I don't just mean splash some water over it, come up with a cleansing routine that works for you! This is my personal favourite:

-Cleanse, make sure to use a cleanser specifically for problem skin, something with tea tree or neem should be great. But before cleansing your skin you should open up your pores, warm water opens your pores whilst cold closes them.

-Exfoliate, exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells on your face and effectively removes any dirt and oils. There are hundreds of exfoliating products on the market, but you can easily make your own by mixing 3 tea spoons of sugar with 2 tea spoons of water, it works just as well.

-Tone, a toner thoroughly cleans your face, removes all dirt and helps to tighten and firm your skin giving it a healthy glow. If you don't have a toner, you can use lemon juice instead, apply it onto your face for about 10 seconds, but be careful as lemons can make your face tingle, so if it does don't keep it on for as long!

- Finish up by splashing some cold water on your face to close your pores!

- Moisturise, even if you have combination/oily skin, you still need to moisturise! It helps to prevent wrinkles and fine lines too!

You should probably use some sort of spot treatment too, there's so many that claim to give you visible results within a couple of weeks or even days, but how much of it is just false advertisement? These are a few that actually worked for me and gave me visible results:

There we have it, those are my holy grail products and procedures! If you do try out anything I've mentioned please leave a comment or tweet me and tell me if it worked for you!

Lots of love x
